Adsorb-it SOS28 comes in rolls that are 6’ wide x 60’ long and weigh in at 70 pounds so one or two people can handle and
deploy easily. Roll out on the beach or shoreline and spike in place to wick in the globs of oil or install on
a partial or full vertical as an oil fence to keep gross oil contaminants from entering wetlands.
Use in conjunction with X‐Tex®/Adsorb‐it® Fabric Products to even remove the visible oils from water.
Weathered heavy oil mousse will slowly wick into the SOS between tide cycles. Each square yard of #SOS28 can recover about 2 gallons of weathered crude oil (mousse).
The #SOS28 can be run through a wringer and the oils squeezed out and reused several times. Environmentally Friendly, #SOS28 is composed of 100% post consumer waste fibers.
