The
Sheen Sweep was
originally
designed for the
U.S. Navy
to provide an
easy method
to reach over
the side
to
capture oil and
oil sheen
adjacent to
watercraft.
The
Flotation Frame was
designed to
hold the
sweep
at the water's
surface,
making it easier
to
move around, and to
prevent it from sinking
.
The
Sheen Sweep rides
on the surface of
the water to
easily pick up oil and
oil sheen. The
Sheen Sweep has three parts:

A
15" x 33" cover
constructed of two layers
of the Adsorb-it Filtration
Fabric with a Velcro closure
at one end. The Sheen Sweep
Cover is sized to fit the
Flotation Frame.

Flotation Frame - Item

Packaged
as single unit.
A 26" x
6" flotation frame,
made from the same material
as one-piece life jackets,
slips inside the Sheen Sweep
cover.

The
Handle - Item

A
60"
fiberglas handle with quick-release
attachment hardware and cap
on top with opening for hanging.
Clamps onto the bar at the
center of the Flotation Frame
